This unit addresses the starting points, methods, and forms of creating new or added social value. In this context, the participants will learn about the social goals social enterprises want and can achieve through their operations. This will be followed by presenting the fundamental areas of shaping new social value in providing goods and services in Social Enterprises. The central part of the presentation is intended to address individual areas of Social Enterprise work. It includes presenting their social goals, basic activities for creating new social value , and possible environmental impacts.
Participants will learn how Social Enterprises create social value by satisfying broader social needs through goods and services and contribute to increasing the quality of life, financial resilience, or community cohesion. They will learn how social enterprises can contribute to the implementation of social services or work integration of people disadvantaged on the labour market. The participants will acquire knowledge of how collaboration between Social Enterprises and local public administration adds to innovatively solving social challenges and supporting local economic development.
